Oh yeah. About the brussel sprouts. I've always disliked them myself until I steamed them and made a lemon nutmeg butter. Yum.

Nothing is better than the ones I had at church cooked with onions and bacon though. I actually had seconds!!

Hello and good afternoon. Today is my Thanksgiving with the family since we are part of a step family. I was looking for a pecan pie recipe that didn't use 3 cups of sugar! I have agave nectar but not enough nuts or time to experiment today. One crust that I like is from You Won't Believe It's Gluten Free (rice-based) where she uses cream cheese. Obviously this means it's not dairy free though. I am so excited that I found your site and will add the results to my blog! Thanks.

HI Rebecca,
That sounds like a good idea. Maybe I shouldn't give up on them right away!
Good idea to add the chocolate chips to the pecan pie. I'm off chocolate for a while but it sounds decadent for sure!

I used to make pecan pie with chocolate chips every year; you may want to try adding chocolate chips or chunks of chocolate into your pecan pie for extra decadence!

I made kale chips last week too, but in the oven at a low heat since I don't have a dehydrator. I tossed kale leaves with salt and olive oil, then spread on a cookie rack on a baking sheet and baked for something like 40 minutes. My husband and son who hate kale loved them. Maybe you need to cook them for less time?

Oh that pecan pie! It looks perfect. My kids are asking for green bean casserole for Thanksgiving. I shudder to think of the original version. The link you gave looks workable. Thank you!

Another busy week for you - but I'm really glad that you're feeling better! That makes all the difference. Your pies look beautiful. Thanks for sharing in the Twister!
